In light of Tanta University’s encouragement of scientific research and its belief in the necessity of communication between it and the outside world, and the state’s keenness to care for its students, including teaching assistants, assistant teachers, and teachers working in Egyptian universities, it allocates a number of scholarships to them as follows:

Scholarships for assistant teachers to obtain doctorates from home:
1- Internal missions.
2- Joint supervision missions (an external supervisor must participate in supervising the research).
This is in accordance with the following rules and conditions:
• The candidate’s age when carrying out the mission must not exceed 40 years.
• The applicant must not have been registered for a doctoral degree more than 24 months when nominated by the university and more than three years when the nomination was approved - noting that the duration of the scholarship is 5 years from the date of registration.
• Obtaining at least a very good grade in the year of graduation.
• He must be an assistant teacher, and his period of service as an assistant teacher must not exceed 3 years.
• The duration of the external part of the mission is one year, renewable for a second year only External scholarships for assistant teachers and teaching assistants to obtain doctorates: This is in accordance with the following rules and conditions:
• He must be a teaching assistant who has spent at least two years working or an assistant teacher.
• The applicant’s age must not exceed 35 years from the date of the announcement, with only two years for Al-Azhar education.
• The period of registration for a doctorate when applying for a foreign mission should not exceed one and a half years on the date of the announcement.
• The general grade in the first university degree must be at least very good.
• To achieve the required linguistic level before traveling to the country to which he is scheduled to be sent.
• To provide evidence of his position regarding conscription (he performed military service - or was exempted from it).
