Vision and Mission

Vision of the Department

The Department aims to give the student theoretical and applied information in the field of analytical chemistry so that Department of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University can be pioneer among its counterpart departments locally and regionally in offering educational service and in scientific research that upgrade the scientific level in the area of pharmaceutical analysis and drug control to take part in development of Egyptian pharmaceutical industry.

Mission of the Department

It is to offer comprehensive and advanced academic program for undergraduate and postgraduate stages to quality pharmacists and researchers to be able to compete inside homeland and abroad in presenting pharmaceutical services, to upgrade pharmaceutical education and scientific research, and to support and develop pharmaceutical industry regarding pharmaceutical analysis of pharmaceutical forms and biological fluids as well as food staff, water analysis and environmental analysis.

Strategic Objectives

Pharmacy student are taught curricula of pharmaceutical analytical chemistry that include descriptive and quantitative chemistry, automatic analysis, food chemistry as well as pharmaceutical control in the bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees by teaching staff members through a ratified academic plan. The student is well prepared to be qualified for continuing postgraduate studies and scientific research in fields of analytical chemistry and its applications.
Objectives also include conducting research in area of specialization in labs of the Department and the Faculty, encouragement of publishing papers in specialized scientific journals, cooperation with other bodies in offering services, experience and pharmaceutical consultations, and attending conferences to enrich scientific research and to gain skills and experience.
