Vision of the Department

That the Department will be pioneer at the local and regional levels through presenting the best educational and research services in the field of pharmacognosy and chemistry of natural products .

Mission of the Department

To present knowledge and skills necessary in the field of pharmacognosy efficiently to help students and give them awareness about the significance of chemistry of natural products and different methods of separating many natural resources in Egypt that have great economic role

  1. To develop academic programs for bachelor's degree and postgraduate studies and to introduce new programs according to labor market needs​ .
  2. To enhance the skills of teaching staff and their assistants ​.
  3. To carry out the research plan of the Department and to direct it towards participation in community service and environmental development .​
  4. To provide high quality and recent technology in teaching the science of drugs and in the field of research so that the Department can be pioneer in offering technological and educational experience locally and internationally .​
