Awareness Campaign on Blood Donation Organized by EPSF-Tanta Students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University

   In the context of its community role and its commitment to supporting health and humanitarian initiatives, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University, through the Student Welfare Administration, organized a blood donation awareness campaign at the Medical Campus, with the participation of students from the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation — Tanta (EPSF-Tanta), on Tuesday and Thursday, 14 and 16 April 2026.

   The campaign was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, University President; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Amr Mahmoud, General Supervisor of the University Medical Administration. It was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean; and Prof. Naglaa Abdel Aziz El-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with Dr. Amal Safouh, Director of the Regional Blood Transfusion Services Center in Tanta, and organized by the Student Welfare Administration headed by Ms. Fotna Ziada.

   The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation as a fundamental pillar in supporting the healthcare system. It emphasized the humanitarian message under the slogan “One drop of blood can make the difference between life and death,” affirming that blood donation represents both a humanitarian duty and a civilized practice that underscores the values of solidarity and social cohesion within community.
