As part of the Ramadan activities organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy – Tanta University, the Ramadan competition in the memorization and interpretation of Surah Al-Hujurat was launched under the patronage of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid El-Aassar, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Naglaa Abdel Aziz El-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The competition was organized by the Student Affairs Department, headed by Ms. Fotna Mourad Ziada, Director of the Department, and was held on Monday, 16 March 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Lecture Hall (3) at the faculty. A total of 12 male and female students participated, in addition to the participation of a number of administrative staff members.
The competition comprised two stages: the first stage included a written test on the interpretation of Surah Al-Hujurat, while the second stage was dedicated to an oral test in memorization and recitation of the Surah. The competition aimed to enhance religious awareness and promote moral values among students and staff of the faculty.
The judging panel was headed by Sheikh Tamer Ahmed Mohamed El-Shebini, who holds a Master’s degree in Da‘wah and Islamic Culture. He commended the high level of the participating students and their keenness on mastering both memorization and understanding.
This event was held as part of the faculty’s commitment to fostering the religious and cultural awareness of its students and encouraging their participation in useful activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
