The First Introductory Seminar on the National Reading Project — Fifth Edition — Was Held at Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University

   Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy — Tanta University; and Prof. Naglaa Abdel Aziz El-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and in the presence of Prof. Eman Goda Khedr, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and in coordination with Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Taha, University Project Coordinator, and Dr. Mari Aziz, Faculty Project Coordinator — the Student Affairs Administration at the Faculty, under the management of Ms. Fotna Zeyada, in cooperation with the General Administration of Youth Welfare at Tanta University, organized the First Introductory Seminar on the National Reading Project (Fifth Edition).

   It was held under the slogan: “Egypt in the Colors of Knowledge… A Generation That Reads… A Nation That Rises.” The seminar was delivered by Prof. Magdy Wakwak and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Taha on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, at the Seminar Hall on the ground floor of the faculty.

   The seminar introduced the project and its objectives related to promoting a culture of reading as a fundamental pillar for creating an aware university personality and strengthening the values of belonging and sustainable learning among students. It also reviewed the mechanisms for participation in the “Cultured University Student” track and explained the guidelines for book selection and the preparation of the “Achievement Portfolio” according to the approved criteria, enabling students to participate effectively and compete with distinction.

  The seminar concluded by emphasizing the importance of benefiting from this national initiative in developing students’ critical and creative thinking skills, contributing to the preparation of a cultured generation capable of supporting the state’s vision for development and shaping a brighter future.
