Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University Announces the Launch of the National Reading Project and Invites Its Students to Participate in the “Cultured University Student” Track

The National Reading Project is considered one of the leading national initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of continuous learning, discovering talents, and strengthening national belonging, in alignment with Egypt’s vision for human development and sustainable development.

In this context, the Faculty of Pharmacy — Tanta University — is participating in the project’s activities in support of awareness enhancement and the promotion of university culture. The faculty invites its students to join the “Cultured University Student” track under the slogan:

“Today the Student Wins… Tomorrow Egypt Wins.”

This initiative stems from the faculty’s role in supporting national initiatives and its societal responsibility to enhance students’ cultural and intellectual awareness.

Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean, stated that the “Cultured University Student” track represents a qualitative step toward establishing reading as a core value in university life, positively reflecting on students’ awareness and intellectual capacities. She explained that the initiative contributes to preparing a generation capable of deep thinking, critical analysis, and structured expression, in addition to strengthening self-learning skills. She further affirmed the faculty’s commitment to supporting this track and increasing participation in it.

The track encourages students at all academic levels to read a selection of Arabic-language books, then prepare summaries and evaluations electronically through the project’s platform according to specific criteria. The evaluation stages begin at the faculty level, followed by the university level, and ultimately advance to the level of Egyptian universities.
