Within the framework of the constructive cooperation between the State Information Service (SIS) and Tanta University, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, University President, and in line with the directives of Dr. Ahmed Yehia, Head of the Internal Media Sector, and under the supervision of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gharbia Media Office — supervised by Mr. Mohamed Mostafa Abdo, Director of Gharbia Media — organized the awareness seminar entitled “The Role of Loyalty and Belonging in Nation-Building.” The seminar was held on Monday, 16 February 2026, in coordination with Asst. Prof. Walaa Ahmed Negm, Manager of the Training Unit at the faculty.
The event was attended by representatives of Gharbia Media Administration — Mr. Ibrahim Abdel Nabi, Ms. Marwa Abdel Rasoul, and Ms. Mai Abu Zeid — in addition to a distinguished group of faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students.
In her speech, Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar highlighted the faculty’s ongoing commitment to promoting national awareness and strengthening the values of belonging among all its members. She stressed that educational institutions play a pivotal role in shaping students who are fully aware of their nation’s issues and capable of contributing effectively to its development.
The seminar had notable engagement from the attendees, as the floor was opened for discussion and dialogue, allowing for the exchange of perspectives and the raising of questions regarding ways to enhance the spirit of belonging and active citizenship within the university community.
This seminar forms part of a series of activities regularly organized by the faculty, based on its responsibility to prepare well-informed youth cadres capable of assuming responsibility and contributing effectively to community service and national development.
