The Faculty of Pharmacy — Tanta University secured second place in the “Best Environmentally Friendly Faculty” competition at the level of Tanta University for the academic year 2025–2026, marking a new achievement added to its record of excellence. The award was announced during the activities of the First Environmental Forum of the Delta Region Universities Alliance, held at Tanta University on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
During the forum, the award shield was presented to Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, by Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President; and Prof. Mahmoud Farouk Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; in recognition of the faculty’s efforts in promoting sustainability practices and enhancing environmental awareness.
Prof. Mona Al-Aassar was also honored in her capacity as Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Forum.
In this context, Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar extended her sincere congratulations to all members of the faculty — including academic staff, assisting staff, administrative personnel, and students — praising the spirit of cooperation and teamwork that contributed to achieving this accomplishment.
She also expressed her deep appreciation to the members of the team responsible for preparing and presenting the competition file, namely: Asst. Prof. Maisara Mohamed El-Bouseiry — Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Acting Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit, and Team Leader; Asst. Prof. Engy Abdel Samee El-Ekhnaawy — Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and International Ranking Coordinator at the Faculty; Dr. Soliman Saleh El-Toukhy — Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Manager of the Excellence Unit; Mr. Anwar Amin El-Hammaky — Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Ms. Noha Hossam Ahmed — Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry; and Dr. Mai Mohy Abdel Sattar — Manager of the Dean’s Office. She concluded by wishing the Faculty of Pharmacy continued success, further excellence, and ongoing progress across all fields.
