The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University organized an orientation course for new students on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13, 2026. The course was attended by new students of the 54th cohort of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program and the 18th cohort of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy) program. The course was held under the supervision of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University, as part of the faculty’s efforts to prepare students for university life and familiarize them with the academic environment, services, and activities available to them.

   The course aimed to familiarize new students with the faculty’s academic system, the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy) programs, and the regulations and rules governing their studies. It also introduced them to the academic advising system and course registration procedures, as well as the academic departments, student organizations, and activities. In addition, students were provided with a range of advice and practical guidance to help them manage their time effectively and make the most of their university years.

   The orientation course reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to preparing new students academically and socially, helping them integrate into the university environment, and encouraging them to strike a balance between academic excellence and active participation in student activities.
