The Faculty of Pharmacy Council at Tanta University held its first meeting of the 2026–2027 academic year on Thursday, September 17, 2026, chaired by Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean. The meeting was attended by the faculty’s Vice Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, and Council members, and was held in the meeting room at the Dean’s Office.

   Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar opened the meeting by congratulating the Faculty Council members on the approaching start of the new academic year, wishing everyone a successful academic year marked by achievements. She emphasized the importance of continuing to work in a spirit of teamwork to help achieve the faculty’s goals and enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance.

   The council discussed the faculty’s preparations for the new academic year and reviewed the readiness of various sectors, units, and departments for the start of the academic study to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process and provide an appropriate learning environment for students. The council also followed up on the preparations and services needed to welcome both new and continuing students.

   The council also discussed the items on the agenda and reviewed reports from the Education and Student Affairs Committee, as well as a number of matters related to cultural relations and faculty members’ affairs. It also followed up on the latest developments at the Quality Assurance Unit, as part of the faculty’s efforts to develop the educational process, enhance academic and administrative performance, and support quality and accreditation requirements.

   The council further reviewed reports from the Postgraduate Studies and Research Committee, which included a number of matters related to the registration of postgraduate students, the formation of Supervisory and Judgment and Discussion Committees for master’s theses and PhD dissertations, as well as consideration of a number of grant applications. These efforts support the postgraduate studies and scientific research system and encourage researchers to pursue excellence and innovation.

   The meeting concluded at 12:30 p.m. after all items on the agenda had been discussed and the necessary decisions and recommendations had been made. The council reaffirmed the importance of continuing to monitor the faculty’s preparations for the new academic year to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process and the provision of distinguished educational, research, and administrative services.
