As part of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with pharmaceutical industry institutions and linking academic education with practical applications and labor market needs, a delegation from the faculty visited the headquarters and factory of Pharma Zad Group in the investment zone in Benha on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, to explore avenues for joint cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest.
The Faculty of Pharmacy delegation included Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean; Prof. Eman Goda Khedr, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Sherin Farouk Hammad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Mr. Khedr El-Sayed Khedr, Director of Public Relations at the faculty. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Moamen Rehab, Quality and Accreditation Officer at the Egyptian Drug Authority.
The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed Abu El-Enein, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pharma Zad Group, who welcomed the faculty delegation and affirmed the importance of strengthening partnerships and integration between academic institutions and the pharmaceutical industry. He noted that such cooperation supports education, training, and scientific research and contributes to preparing and developing pharmacy professionals capable of keeping pace with the needs and developments of the pharmaceutical industry.
During the meeting, Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid El-Aassar highlighted the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University’s commitment to establishing effective strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and industrial institutions, including Pharma Zad Group. Such partnerships open new avenues for cooperation in practical and field training for faculty students, and support scientific research and development, while enhancing opportunities to prepare graduates with the practical skills and experience required by the labor market and the modern pharmaceutical industry.
