Tanta Faculty of Pharmacy Welcomes the Sixth Phase Students of Child University for an Introduction to Endocrinology

   As part of the joint cooperation between Tanta University and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), and the university’s commitment to strengthening its community engagement and promoting scientific awareness among young learners, Tanta Faculty of Pharmacy welcomed students participating in the sixth phase of the Child University Program, first specialized year (F1), which includes students specializing in medical sciences, on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

   The visit was held under the patronage of Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Mamdouh Moawad, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT); Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President; and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Tanta University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   The visit was supervised by Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of Tanta Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Sherin Farouk Hammad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in coordination with Prof. Samir Qamh, Tanta University’s Child University Coordinator, and Dr. Walaa Negm, Child University Coordinator at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

   The visit featured a scientific lecture entitled “The Endocrine System,” delivered by Asst. Prof. Aya Al-Qadeem, Assistant Professor at the faculty. The lecture introduced the concept of endocrine glands and explained the difference between endocrine and exocrine glands, with examples of exocrine glands, including the salivary and lacrimal glands.

   The visit reflects Tanta Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to supporting Child University activities and contributing to the development of a generation equipped with scientific knowledge and the ability to think and explore. It also encourages children to gain early exposure to medical and pharmaceutical sciences through engaging and simplified educational approaches.
