Under the patronage of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean, the training program for 45 students who completed the third level of the PharmD Program (Clinical Pharmacy) has concluded. The training was organized by the Faculty’s Drug and Poison Information Center and was held from Sunday, August 30 to Thursday, September 3, 2026.

   The training was conducted in coordination and cooperation between the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, under the supervision of Prof. Mona Al-Aassar, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Sherin Hammad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   The training was held for four hours daily over five consecutive days and covered a range of important scientific and practical topics relevant to professional practice in community pharmacies, most notably:

• OTC Drugs in Community Pharmacy

• Utilization of Drug Information Resources in Community Pharmacy

• Scientific Guidance for Measuring Blood Pressure & Blood Glucose

• Injection Types

• Patient Counseling Tools in Community Pharmacy

• Medication Errors in Community Pharmacy Practice

• Dealing with High-Alert Medications

   This training reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University’s commitment to developing its students’ scientific and practical skills and bridging the gap between academic study and practical application. It also contributes to preparing qualified graduates capable of performing their professional roles efficiently and in accordance with the latest pharmaceutical practices.
