Inspection Visit by EIPICO to the Pharmaceutical Services Center at Tanta Faculty of Pharmacy as Part of Ongoing Collaboration

   Under the auspices of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid El-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, and Prof. Sherin Farouk Hammad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between the Pharmaceutical Services Center at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, and the Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Company (EIPICO) in conducting bioequivalence studies for pharmaceutical products, the Center welcomed a delegation from EIPICO on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

   The visit was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Shahawy, Lecturer of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry and Acting Manager of the Pharmaceutical Services Center.

  The visit included an inspection tour of the laboratories and units of the Pharmaceutical Services Center, during which the committee reviewed the Center's technical capabilities, infrastructure, facilities, and laboratory equipment used in conducting bioequivalence studies. The committee also examined the documentation and records related to the equipment, including calibration and preventive maintenance records, to ensure compliance with quality requirements and applicable regulations.

    In addition, the committee reviewed the progress of the bioequivalence studies being conducted for EIPICO's pharmaceutical products and examined the study implementation procedures and documentation processes. The visit reflected the center's commitment to applying approved scientific and regulatory standards and confirmed its readiness to provide high-quality research and laboratory services. It also underscored the constructive collaboration between the two parties and further strengthened the partnership with the pharmaceutical industry.
