During the meeting of Tanta University Council held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University, was honored as one of the deans whose faculties received the institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The recognition took place in appreciation of the institutional efforts that culminated in this achievement. It is worth noting that five other deans from various faculties of the university were also honored.
During the recognition ceremony, the University President commended the efforts exerted by the administrations of the faculties, the teams of the Quality Assurance Units, faculty members, and the administrative personnel that contributed to meeting the requirements for institutional accreditation. He further emphasized that this success reflects Tanta University’s commitment to applying quality and institutional excellence criteria, enhancing its academic stature both nationally and internationally.
The Faculty of Pharmacy's attainment of institutional accreditation marks the culmination of a sustained journey of development and commitment to quality standards. This has been achieved through the continuous enhancement of academic programs, the upgrading of infrastructure, the strengthening of institutional performance, and the advancement of the faculty's educational, research, and community services.
This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of all members of the faculty. The Faculty of Pharmacy was granted the renewal of its institutional accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) on March 28, 2022, during the deanship of Prof. Nahla El-Sayed El-Ashmawy. At that time, Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, in her capacity as Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit and Coordinator of the Accreditation Visit, played a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of quality requirements, coordinating efforts across the faculty's various sectors, and supervising the preparation of the accreditation files. Her contributions were essential to enabling the faculty to fulfill the NAQAAE's accreditation standards and successfully secure the institutional accreditation.
