Tanta University Council Honors Winners of the Best Master's Thesis and PhD Dissertation Awards for the Academic Year 2025–2026

   During its session held on June 30, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, the Tanta University Council honored the winners of the Best Master's Thesis and the Best PhD Dissertation Awards for the academic year 2025–2026 in recognition of their academic excellence and distinguished research contributions. The Faculty of Pharmacy received four awards within the Medical Sciences Sector Awards. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

The honorees included:

• Asst. Lecturer Khadija Ahmed Mahrous Galal, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, for winning the Best PhD Dissertation Award in Clinical Pharmacy.

• Asst. Lecturer Heba Mohamady Saad Abdel Hamid Abu Salem, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, for winning the Best PhD Dissertation Award in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. 

• Researcher Israa Sobhi El Kotb Ibrahim (External Candidate), for winning the Best Master's Thesis Award in Microbiology and Immunology.

• Researcher Maha Khaled Ahmed Shendy (External Candidate), for winning the Best Master's Thesis Award in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry.

   Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, affirmed that this achievement underscores the faculty's distinction and leadership in scientific research and demonstrates its continuous commitment to providing an academic and research environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Such efforts contribute to preparing highly qualified researchers capable of competing and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals. In addition, the Dean also extended her sincere congratulations to the award recipients, commending their dedication and excellence in completing their scientific theses. She expressed her appreciation to the faculty members, supervision and judgment committees, and all those supporting the faculty's research system in recognition of their sincere efforts to enhance the quality of scientific dissertations.

    She further added that this accomplishment represents a continuation of the faculty's ongoing pursuit of excellence, as the Faculty of Pharmacy has continued to win the Best Master's Thesis and PhD Dissertation Awards in the Medical Sciences Sector at the university level for the fourth consecutive year. This achievement highlights the faculty's distinguished academic stature and research leadership and confirms the success of its vision in promoting excellence and innovation in scientific research.
