The Ninth Session of the Faculty Council at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, in the Academic Year 2025–2026

   The Council of the Faculty of Pharmacy — Tanta University held its ninth session for the academic year 2025–2026 today, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, under the chairpersonship of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aassar, Dean of the Faculty. The session was attended by the vice deans, heads of academic departments, members of the Faculty Council, as well as a distinguished group of former deans and vice deans, and was held in the meeting hall at the Dean’s Office.

   At the outset of the session, the Dean welcomed Prof. Wesam Salah Mohamed, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Institutional Performance and Manager of the Strategic Planning Unit at Tanta University. She delivered a presentation addressing the strategic plan of Tanta University and the mechanisms for aligning it with the faculty’s strategic plan. She also reviewed the performance indicators related to the faculty’s institutional governance platform, in support of the university’s efforts to enhance institutional performance efficiency and achieve sustainable development goals.

   The Council then proceeded to discuss the items listed on the agenda, which included reports of the Education and Student Affairs Committee, matters related to cultural relations, and faculty members affairs, in addition to reviewing the latest developments of the Quality Assurance Unit. These discussions reflected the faculty’s commitment to advancing the educational process and enhancing both academic and administrative performance.

   The Council also reviewed the reports of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Committee, which included discussions on the registration of postgraduate students, the formation of supervision and judgment and discussion Committees for master’s theses and PhD dissertations, as well as the consideration of submitted grant applications, in support of the scientific research system and in encouragement of researchers to achieve excellence and innovation.

   The session concluded at 1:00 p.m., reaffirming the faculty’s continued commitment to implementing its developmental plans and strengthening pathways of quality and institutional governance in alignment with the vision of Tanta University and the Egypt’s orientation toward institutional excellence and the advancement of higher education.
