Launch of the Second Day of the Workshop “A New Beginning for Quality Assurance in Education” for Tanta Pharmacy Students

   In the context of supporting the initiative “A New Beginning for Quality Assurance in Education,” implemented under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and in accordance with the directives of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), the Faculty of Pharmacy launched of the second day of the student-oriented workshop on Monday, 27 April 2026, in the Seminar Hall on the ground floor. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President, and under the supervision of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid El-Aassar, Faculty Dean, and Asst. Prof. Maisara Mohamed El-Bosairy, Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit.

   The workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance Unit in collaboration with the Student Union and was delivered by student Nour Amr El-Basyouni (Level Four) and student Omar Yehia Abdel Sayed (Level Three) from the Pharm D Bachelor’s Program, as part of efforts to enhance the role of students in promoting a culture of quality and instilling its concepts within the university community.

   The workshop addressed several key themes, including an introduction to the role and objectives of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), an overview of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and its relation to the development of the education system, as well as the fundamental concepts of quality assurance in higher education institutions, such as quality, accreditation, and accreditation standards. It also highlighted the distinction between program accreditation and institutional accreditation.

   The activities of the second day underscored the vital role of students as key partners in the development of the educational process through active participation and contribution to improving academic and institutional performance. This aligns with the faculty’s orientation toward achieving institutional excellence and sustainability, in light of the state’s vision for development of higher education.
