Launch of the Orientation Program at Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University

   On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, launched the orientation program for new students enrolled in the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program and the Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy) Program. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aasar, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Naglaa Abdel Aziz El-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

   The program aimed to familiarize new students with the study plans, guide them on how to adapt to university life, and help them strike a balance between academic courses and extracurricular activities. It was organized by the Student Welfare Administration, headed by Ms. Fotna Zeiada Murad, in collaboration with the Faculty’s Student Union.

   The activities began with a speech by Ms. Fotna Zeiada, Manager of the Student Welfare Administration, in which she outlined the types of extracurricular activities and the means of participating in them. This was followed by a speech from student Ali Mohamed Radi, President of the Faculty’s Student Union and a sixth-year (internship) student in the “PharmD” Program, in which he highlighted the importance of student activities and elaborated on the Union’s role in university life.

     The orientation program also featured introductory lectures delivered by:

Prof. Haitham Tawfik, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Manager of the Central Research Laboratory at the Faculty,

Mr. Mohamed Ehab Ramadan, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy.

     In addition, Assist. Prof. Maisara El-Bosairi, Academic Advising Coordinator and Acting Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty, gave a presentation on the significance of academic advising and its role in supporting students.

    On the sidelines of the event, the Student Activities Exhibition was inaugurated, showing a wide range of student initiatives and extracurricular projects.
