Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, inaugurated "The First Summit Forum of Sustainable Innovation for Egyptian University Students," hosted by the university over three days starting Saturday, August 23, 2025, with the participation of more than 20 Egyptian universities. The organization of this forum aligns with the country’s directions to support creativity coinciding with the launch by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, of the "National Policy for Sustainable Innovation" as a strategic framework to transform Egypt into an innovative and sustainable knowledge society, as part of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The inauguration was attended by Prof. Hamdan Rabie, President of Damietta University, several deans and vice deans of faculties, along with Dr. Amal Abdel Sattar, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Community Public Services; Prof. Yasser Abdo, Manager of the University Innovation Unit; and Mr. Mohamed Al-Kasir, General Manager of the General Administration for Student Welfare.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that this forum represents a launching point toward broader avenues of creativity and a unique opportunity to exchange visions and create innovative solutions. He declared that experience has proven that progress is only achieved through genuine innovation, which is not limited to proposing new ideas but is embodied in transforming these ideas into practical applications capable of addressing challenges and adding real value to society.
