Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President, and under the supervision of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aasr, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Naglaa Al-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Student Welfare Department at the faculty, managed by Ms. Fotna Ziada, organized the awareness seminar titled "Controlling the Phenomenon of Using Drugs, Narcotic Substances and Compounds that Lead to Habituation and Addiction”. The seminar was presented by Prof. Ahmed Al-Sayed Abdel Hamid Goda, Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the faculty, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the seminar hall on the ground floor of the faculty.

    The seminar addressed awareness about drugs, narcotic synthetic drugs, compounds that lead to habit and addiction, and others such as the GHB drug, and the harms resulting from its use.
