Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, held the twelfth session of its council under the chairmanship of Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aasr, Faculty Dean, with the participation of the faculty’s vice deans, heads of academic departments, and professors who are members of the council, in the attendance of former deans and vice deans of the faculty. The session took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the meeting hall of the Dean’s Office.

    The dean opened the session by welcoming the esteemed council members. After that, she presented the proposal for updating the faculty’s vision and mission. Assist. Prof. Samah Al-Mulla, responsible for the strategic planning standard at the faculty, delivered a presentation on the mechanisms for updating the vision and mission in alignment with the recently updated vision and mission of the university, its strategic directions, and Egypt’s Vision 2030, with the aim of supporting academic and research excellence, serving the community, and preparing graduates capable of competing at the local, regional, and international levels.

     The dean then started on to discuss the items listed on the council’s agenda, which included matters of the Committee for Education and Student Affairs, Cultural Relations, and academic staff members’ affairs, in addition to reports from the Quality Assurance Unit. The council also discussed reports of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Committee, files on registration and the formation of supervisory committees for Master’s and PhD students, as well as applications for research scholarships. The meeting concluded at exactly 1:00 p.m.
