Under the patronage of Dr. Karim Barakat, Head of the Health Insurance Organization (HIO) in Gharbia; Dr. Ahmed Salem, Director of the Medical Complex Hospital in Gharbia; Dr. Salwa Magdy, Head of the Oncology Department and Chairperson of the Oncology and Breast Cancer Committees at HIO; and Dr. Heba El-Shorbagi, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department and Coordinator of the Scientific Day, and under the supervision of Prof. Hesham Tawfik, Professor of Oncology at Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University, the Scientific Day of the Oncology Department at the Medical Complex Hospital was held on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The event was also attended by Dr. Amr Fahmy, Director of the Department of Medical Supply and Pharmacies.
Prof. Mona Abdel Hamid Al-Aasr, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, attended the event, together with Prof. Naglaa El-Shetany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Osama Ibrahim, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy; Prof. Kamilia Abu El-Soud, Professor of Pharmacognosy and Former Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Ebtessam Eissa, Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology; Prof. Nagwa Shoaib, Professor and Acting Head of the Pharmacognosy Department; Prof. Ahmed Gouda, Professor and Acting Head of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department; Assist. Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy; Dr. Aya Atef, Lecturer of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry; Dr. Eman El-Berry, Lecturer of Clinical Pharmacy; Assist. Lect. Moreover, lectures were delivered by Dr. Hossam El-Ashtoukhy, Dr. Omnia Abdel Fattah, Dr. Dina Kholosy, Dr. Lamees Abdel Aziz, and Dr. Fatma Zakaria. The program addressed several topics related to liver and breast cancer, in addition to therapeutic nutrition for oncology patients.
