Tanta University Vice President Inaugurates the 1st Youth Leadership Congress at Faculty of Pharmacy

Prof. Kamal Okasha, Tanta University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, inaugurated the 1st Youth Leadership Congress today, Sunday. The conference is organized by Faculty of Pharmacy for two days under auspices of Prof. Magdi Sabi', University President, and Prof. Nahla Al-Ashmawy, Faculty Dean.

   In the speech he delivered, Prof. Kamal Okasha confirmed that the conference is an effective platform and beneficial forum held out of belief in our need for cadres who can develop our homeland. He indicated that youth are the greatest power we possess. Therefore, we should use this power and discover their extraordinary abilities. He declared that the fact that leaders recognize this social responsibility, the significance of youth's role and improving it is much appreciated.     

   For her part, Prof. Nahla Al-Ashmawy pointed out the importance of the congress as it tackles one of the serious issues that the state and Tanta University give great interest. She highlighted the role played by Faculty of Pharmacy towards its students who are about to be graduated and join labor market and who are considered the future of homeland and its aspiration for advancement. She declared that the congress includes a group of sessions about development of youth's leadership skills. The sessions are lectured by an elite group of lecturers in addition to the academic skills learnt by students at the Faculty.

    Activities of the conference were held with participation of Prof. Hany Donia, Head of Pharmacists' Syndicate; Prof. Mokhtar Al-Basyouni, Professor of Values and Ethics at Faculty of Education; Prof. Abdel Razek Al-Komy, Head of Geography Department at Faculty of Arts; Prof. Ibrahim Abo Al-Magd, Lecturer of Analytical Chemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Azhar University; Prof. Heitham Tawfik, Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University; Prof. Abdel Aziz Abdel Dayem, Dean of Faculty of Science; Prof. Abdel Hamid Al-Menshawy, Dean of Faculty of Education; Prof. Magdy Al-Hefnawy, Head of Medical Syndicate in Gharbia; a group of professors and academic staff from different faculties of the University.
