To Help Graduates Join Labor Market, Tanta University President Inaugurates the Annual Employment Forum at Faculty of Pharmacy

    Prof. Magdi Sab’, Tanta University President, inaugurated the Annual Employment Forum organized by Alumni Follow-up Unit at Faculty of Pharmacy with participation of Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Nahla Al-Ashmawy, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy; and Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   In the speech he delivered, Prof. Magdi Sab’ confirmed the importance of the forum in helping graduates join labor market, bridging the gap between them and labor market needs, connecting them to their University and Faculty, and informing them with recent developments at the Faculty. Moreover, the forum gives the Faculty insight about the progress made by its graduates in their careers as they are success partners and its representatives outside the University.

   Prof. Kamal Okasha declared that the forum is a good platform for posing ideas and receiving suggestions to make sure that Faculty of Pharmacy copes with the ever changing labor market needs. He indicated Faculty graduates have marvelous employment chances after graduation as the Faculty is an outstanding one that offers important programs at the level of the University.

   For her part, Prof. Nahla Ashmawy pointed out that the Faculty is keen on informing students and graduates about fields of work after graduation, encouraging them on benefiting from experts in pharmaceutical area, and facilitating communication among pharmaceutical companies, private pharmacies and some hospitals, such as 57357 Hospital, to help students find training opportunities and help graduates to find suitable job opportunities.  

     The forum was held with participation of 20 Egyptian and international companies and institutions that work in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals and that offer training and job opportunities for students and graduates of the Faculty. The forum also included an exhibition of many pharmaceutical companies and presentation about unique programs of Bachelor’s postgraduate stages the Faculty offers such as the program of Pharmacovigilance Diploma, Pharmaceutical Control Diploma, Professional Diploma in Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis, PharmD Program and Clinical Pharmacy Diploma.

   An elite group of lecturers took part in the forum such as Prof. Hany Donia, Head of Pharmacists’ Syndicate; Prof. Ibrahim Abdo, the first Operation Pharmacist and Marketing Official of Clinical Pharmacy Program at 57357 Hospital in Cairo; Prof. Mohammed Hegazy, Prof. Fahim Sa'd, First Lieutenant Pharmacist Dr. Mustafa Nabil, Dr. Esraa Al-Kassas, Dr. Ahmed Al-Meleigy, Dr. Tamer Al-Moghazy and Dr. Bahaa Al-Gabalawy. They presented advice and guidance that assist alumni to have a good start in labor market. They gave information about employment requirements and the needed skills for the interest of the Faculty, its graduates and community.
